I’ve not been ordering much as far as fabric, floss and charts go but all the charts I ordered during Needlework Expo are starting to roll in. A couple of times a week, some little something I’ve ordered for Addie’s stocking will arrive. I checked Informed Delivery yesterday morning and there were five packages arrive. I didn’t bother to check to see who they were from – they could have been small packages or larger packages — I didn’t know and didn’t matter. Vince really doesn’t care what I order but he does like to give me a hard time about it and sometimes, I think he’s more serious than joking so whatever comes in that he doesn’t see . . that makes it easier.
He was running to town after the electrician left so I was thinking . . Great! I’ll be able to get the mail in before he gets home.
I checked online a couple of times and it hadn’t been delivered yet. He got home and went straight downstairs to check to see something about a TV antenna he was thinking about. I thought . . Oh, yes! I’ll run to the mail box now because they’ve probably been by. He won’t even notice that I ran out there. I hurried out to the mail box and . . no mail.
As I walked back by his car . . I saw this!
I’ll be the mail lady was putting the mail in the box as he was coming home. Otherwise, he wouldn’t even have checked. He came back upstairs and said “I got the mail. It’s in my car.” Since I didn’t want him to get suspicious that I made a flying trip out to the mail box, I had not brought the mail in because . . how would I have known it was there.
He didn’t say anything else about it. As far as I can tell, there are no packages arriving for at least the next three days so I’ll make sure Vince gets the mail and sees nothing coming in for me.
In the packages: A new harness I had ordered for Rita, a kit for a stitch along (Eliza Linfoot) that I had ordered from Traditional Stitches in May, three skeins of floss from 123 Stitch that had been part of an older order, a few skeins of floss from Anita’s Little Stitches that I had ordered for my punch needle project, the fabric from my XJu monthly club. None of them were big, stuffed to the gill packages, so he didn’t seem too concerned about any of them. Whew! 🙂
