While the guys were messing around in the sewing room yesterday looking for gas lines and planning their strategy about how to get the gas line into the kitchen, I put together a couple of kits for future projects. I’m going to do separate blog posts so I can easily find the info when I’m ready to start stitching.
The first one is “And Heaven and Nature Sing” by Kathy Barrick
This will be the first piece I’ve stitched by Kathy Barrick. It looks like it should be fairly quick to stitch . . which means I should have it stitched in time for Christmas, 2025! 🙂
The called for floss is NPI Silk but I’m using a conversion from Victoria Clayton.
Changes I may make: See the two greens on the top of the left pile of floss? I think I want my greens to be just a big brighter. I know the red is muted but greens . . I love green so I want the green to show. I may substitute the two greens sitting over on the right for the two greens on the top left of that pile.
I’m going to use 40 count linen but not the called for, which is a Lakeside Linen and not easy to find. I think the one I have there will be fine (sorry – it’s already in the project bag put away and I don’t remember the name of it).
