I had the fabric for Let Love Reign by Teresa Kogut in a scroll frame but it’s kind of a bigger project and the scroll frame was 29″ wide and the side bars were 12″. That’s a frame I bought for using with the floor stand and in the sewing room with Boots jumping up and down on my lap, even in the Lowery stand, which did a great job of holding it, I wasn’t comfortable using it. I felt like my arms were too short . . and they probably are. I ended up taking it out and started stitch in hand. I may go with a Q-snap or hoop later but for now, I’m working on the border so I’ll be “traveling” a lot around the edges.
A feeble start and a blurry picture! I started on the top left flower just to get a placement for the “stem” which really defines the border. If I could get the outer border done, then the inner plain border done, the rest of this is going to be a really fun stitch. I love that it has a house, a cat, a dog, two chickens and two sheep.
I’m probably going to stitch just the curvy part of the border first, which is basically an outline, then go back and do the flowers. I’m going to work on this one today as much as I can and I’d be thrilled if I got the outline done on the top border today.
After I finished stitching last night I was looking for the highlighter and remembered I’d left it upstairs. Then I realized .. this chart is a pdf. I can open it in Pattern Keeper. Yay! I like that so much better than using a paper pattern.

Will you change the cat and dog colors to match Boots and Rita?
