Yesterday the rack from Hobby Lobby arrived. I love it and would love to have several more but don’t really have a good place to put them. At least for now, I put the whisks, plastic spatulas and the little flat plastic things . . I don’t know if they’re spatulas or not but like you use to scrape the cake batter out of the bowl or spread icing . . what are those things called? Anyway . . I put those in there. Someone mentioned dog and cat hair but Rita doesn’t run loose – she has a big corner of the breakfast room “fenced” off and she stays in there unless we bring her in the living room with us and then the gate is closed so she doesn’t go back into the kitchen. Boots isn’t allowed in the kitchen. Right! He’s a cat. He goes anywhere he wants but I think he’s only gone in the kitchen three or four times and he knows he isn’t supposed to so as soon as he hears one of us coming, he runs out and runs back downstairs. He’s more comfortable with me sitting in the sewing room with him than he is being upstairs . . though he’ll come upstairs if we’re up there sitting.
Think about taking all that stuff out of the drawer! When we were in Texas, I got into the habit of rinsing everything before we used it unless it came out of the dishwasher – glasses, plates, spatulas. Even inside the drawers with the drawers closed, things got dusty and gritty there. If I end up seeing a problem with cat or dog hair, I’ll put something else in the caddy.
Vince found and got the weather station installed!
Oh . . I just noticed the time and date are wrong. It isn’t really Monday, nor is it January 2, nor was it 11:59 when I took the picture but it was 73 degrees inside and it had rained .14″. We need a couple of inches of rain.
I cut the okra in a friend’s garden, then I came home and cut it here. I had planned to cut up tomatoes and okra for the freeze dryer but I ended up making a big pot of okra and tomatoes and used quite a few of them. Also, I think I have enough okra to fill all four trays of the freeze dryer so I’ll get that done today. Then I can freeze the tomatoes on extra trays and put them in after the okra is finished. That will give me a few more days to accumulate more tomatoes.
I didn’t get my hair cut. By the time I got back in touch with the hair cut lady, she had scheduled someone else for the time because she thought I hadn’t heard her message. I have an appointment for next week. She said “Are you sure you can make it?” I said “Of course . . I’ve already cut it myself!” She said “Why do you do that?” I felt like Addie . . I dunno!
Additions:
I don’t think I ordered anything yesterday. I know I didn’t. I was kinda busy all day.
Cooking:
Yes! I did. I made London Broil, okra and tomatoes and potatoes for lunch.
Videos I Watched:
I watched several Dr. Campbell videos. I like him and most of what he says makes more sense to me than what we’re hearing. I try to keep up with all his videos.
Stitching:
I’ll do a separate post on A Changed World progress yesterday.
Plans for Today:
I’ll work out in the yard til it gets too warm. Then I’ll probably stitch. I am going to cook today — yes, REAL cooking . . a meal. I’m making okra and tomatoes with meatballs. Love that over rice.
I’ll cut up the okra and get the freeze dryer going.
Otherwise, I’ll probably just stitch.

Judy, there’s a physician I like on youtube named Dr. Mike Hansen. He seems to be reasonable and helps
me understand some of the stuff in the news.

Thanks. I’ll look for that one. I enjoy those types of youtubes.

Thank you for the link to Dr. Campbell. He’s down-to-earth, and reasonable. I’ve subscribed to his YouTube channel. That bit at the end of his Sept. 3 video was something I’ve never seen: comparing the likelihood of various side-effects from the vaccine with the much higher likelihood of those problems if you get Covid. And I think he’s probably correct in saying that everybody will get Covid eventually.

That video was the first time I heard that herd immunity isn’t going to happen. It’s all scary but I do appreciate his easy to understand and what seems to me to be “no hype” info.
