Here’s where I left off Thursday night:
And here’s what I got done yesterday.
I would have finished the fourth row if I hadn’t spent so much time making up those two kits.
Here’s what I’m thinking . .
- Instead of using black for the background in the text box, I think I’m going to use a dark gray. When I first posted this, I think it was Liz who commented and asked if I was going to use black. I said yes because this seems like a dark time in our history but I’m kinda tired of stitching with black. I ordered several shades of gray floss. Some may be too green or too blue or too light and if none of those work, I’ll just use black since it’s silk and I can’t run to Hobby Lobby and buy more. I think I’ll do the last two lines using the gray too . . assuming I’ve ordered a gray that will work. I ordered it a while back so it should be here soon.
- All the “fancy” flosstubers call this a “cartouche”. It looks like a text box to me so . . that’s what I’m calling it.
- I will finish the text in the text box, and finish the border around the box and then wait for the other floss to arrive before filling in the background and doing the other two rows of text.
- I’ll post my stitching plans for next week but for now, A Changed World is taking a break for the weekend.
