I saw Addie last weekend. A week ago tomorrow. They came by here before the game. I saw her at the game, even though she never acknowledged that she saw any of her family. They came by here after the game. Not even a week later, Nicole posted this picture.
She looks at least two years older than she looked a week ago. I hope she doesn’t say the same thing about me when she sees me! 🙁
For those of you who are the praying type, please say some prayers for them. They’re making a super quick trip to Louisiana . . driving part of the way this evening, arriving tomorrow and leaving Monday. They’re going to be tired and there’s a lot of traffic and they’re pulling a trailer. I hate that they did it on a holiday weekend but that was how it had to be. They’re young and excited to be going. I remember those days but I certainly wouldn’t want to be making that trip this weekend.

She definitely looks like she’s growing up super fast…..praying that they have a safe trip there and back.

Oh my! She does look like she is 9 going on 15!! Praying for safe travels.

Prayers for a safe trip. Addie looks happy!

She loves my uncle and is so happy to get to see him. Chad had much more vacation time with Walmart than he does now so they went to Louisiana three or four times a year. Now, they’re lucky to get to go once, though this is their second time this year because he has to go pick up “the package” as Nicole calls it (my grandpa’s old pickup). Between Chad’s lack of vacation time and Addie being school, those Louisiana trips are hard to get done.

Prayers for sure! Addie DOES look more grown up than the last picture I saw!!!
Cheryl says
Prayers for their safe travels & your peace of mind?? Addie is growing into a beautiful young lady!
Sara says
They do grow up too fast.
I certainly hope all of your family in Louisiana are doing OK since this latest hurricane.
Judy Laquidara says
Thanks. My family is all in SW Louisiana so this one missed them.

I’ll add prayers to the ones I’m already saying – my daughter is driving in from Ohio this morning. I hate holiday w/e driving trips but sometimes that’s the only option. Safe travels for everyone.
Judy Laquidara says
Yes and I keep telling myself that when I was young, it didn’t bother me at all. I’ll add your daughter to my prayers. As parents/grandparents, we never stop praying for our kids.
