Every day as I write these posts and include the date, (1) I check and recheck the date, then pray I have it correct but if I don’t, I’m quite sure none of my readers will be surprised and (2) I can’t believe how quickly the days go by. I keep telling Vince . . maybe if we were unhappy, time wouldn’t pass so quickly!
Yesterday . . we kinda did nothing. Vince went out and got Little Caesar’s for our dinner. I know we shouldn’t eat that but for now, I love Little Caesar’s pizza. Actually, we got Crazy Calzones and they were good but definitely not the healthiest of meals.
I cross stitched a lot but don’t seem to have a whole lot to show for it. When I see how little I get done in a day, when I think I’ve stitched a lot, and then I see how much other people get done and they think they didn’t have much stitching time . . there’s something wrong with the way I stitch . . has to be!
We went out last night looking for tomato horn worms with black lights and didn’t find any so either they don’t really glow in the dark or they were doing a great job of hiding in my tomato jungle. For our Master Gardener class we had to fill out a little “ice breaker” and one of the questions was three things you enjoy about gardening. I told Vince I wanted to put “stepping on horn worms and squishing them!” but figured that wasn’t a real ladylike thing to write but I do love stepping on those fat, squishy worms. I kinda feel bad though . . they probably have a purpose in this world too but they are welcome to live a long and happy life in someone else’s garden . . just not mine!
Additions:
I said I would buy more when Teresa Kogut’s stuff came out and I did.
Up On the Housetop
Hazel’s Halloween Friends
Pumpkins and Bats
Cotswold Fields
Tis Near Christmas Day
Then, I went to get the links for this post and The Scarlett House has their new releases up so I had to add these:
Isabella Jackson – 1829
We Are The Sampler Makers
See why I need to stitch faster! I am not looking at any more new releases!
Cooking:
All the cooking I did yesterday was breakfast – bacon, eggs and toast! At this rate, I’m going to be toast .. Vince is going to boot my lazy butt and find a wife that will cook! 🙂
Videos I Watched:
No videos!
Stitching:
I’ll do a separate post but I got at least enough to notice done on A Changed World.
Plans for Today:
I hope to get more stitching done on A Changed World. If the spaetzle gizmo arrives, I’ll make spaetzle. I think that’s all that’s on my agenda for today!

I like the way Hazel and Friends are ‘framed’. Might be fun if you have a bunch nearly the same size to do that and trade them out??? Just some thoughts from a non stitcher so far.
Judy Laquidara says
Yes, I was telling Vince about that this morning.

Love those patterns. So far I’ve only ordered the Cotswold Fields but then I haven’t watched any of the videos that show all the new patterns. Still avoiding them for now…lol I tend to jump in with any hobby and I’m trying to pace myself, well sort of! I have too many hobbies I love and I seem to get hyper focused on just one at a time. I still have my sewing room in a mess with quilts in various stages of progress and then another room where I have mixed media stuff along with my vintage sewing machines….and then of course there is the garden!

“Stepping on Hornworms and squishing them” made me laugh out loud. Things like that gross me out, but I also hate Hornworms!
Judy Laquidara says
I know it’s gross but I love squishing things.

I hope you share some of the interesting things you learn in your Master Gardener class. It will be so interesting – even though I don’t garden any more.
And I had to chuckle about your cooking yesterday, because bacon, eggs and toast was the only thing I cooked yesterday too. But mine was lunch!

Yesterday I asked Vince if we could have a late breakfast – more like brunch and have BLTs and he said yes but he got up wanting grits, sausage and eggs. Maybe tomorrow I’ll get my BLT but probably not because I should make bread today but I’m already too tired.
