This morning when I fed the sourdough, I used the leftover to make Discard Biscuits. These aren’t my favorite biscuits for eating with eggs and bacon but they make great sandwiches. I like fluffy biscuits for sopping up egg yolk. These are more dense and “solid”. A bacon, egg and cheese sandwich is great using these. I knew the guys working in the shop would come in for a morning snack so they ate the biscuits with apple butter.

Then I made bread using Chicken in the Road’s Grandmother Bread but made the sourdough version.

You can see a bit of what’s on the bar waiting for their turn to be preserved for later use. A woman’s work is never done! 🙂
