One of the flosstubes I like, Little Yellow House Crafts, did the Shannon Christine Christmas ornament subscription last year and finished them all. Every time she showed them, I was so sad I had not seen them in time to do them.
Shannon Christine’s work reminds me more of my quilting preferences, with bright colors, beads, sometimes glittery, sparkly thread but I love her work. Her work . . everything she does, even though most of it would not go in our house, it all makes me smile.
If you go to her website and click on “subscriptions”, you can read about the new Christmas subscription and see a sample of the stitching for the ornaments. They’re small and should be fairly quick to stitch but they are adorable! I believe the first installment will go out on September 1. It’s all done via email with pdf patterns and, of course, I had to sign up.
It’s probably rather doubtful that I could get these all stitched and finished before Christmas but I’ll see what I can manage!

I subscribed to the Shannon Christine Xmas Ornaments. I probably won’t finish as well but eventually, I will realize my dream of a Christmas tree with all hand made items. Crocheted garlands and treeskirt with quilted and cross stitch ornaments and of course, a crocheted angel tree topper. Maybe ?

I was thinking I would use these so Addie will see them on our tree but I’ll keep them inside instead of in the attic where the rest of our Christmas stuff is and then if I get a good collection, give them to Addie some day.

I also love her designs. Working on Winer snowfall as my long term project now. I did not know about the ornament subscription but now think I need that.

I was so sorry I missed last year’s. I think you can still buy them but the fun is the subscription (not like I ever do anything on time!).

What a great idea. Although my grandparents and Mother were crafty, I don’t have many things that they made. That connection across generations is priceless.

I just subscribed – didn’t care too much for last years as they were all too pinky for me
