This is my progress report for A Changed World by The Scarlett House. This report was supposed to be done on Friday but I was determined to finish all the words in that first text area before making this report.
Don’t forget to check out Denise and Jo’s blogs if you haven’t already. They’re both far ahead of me on this project and theirs are looking great. Links are in the sidebar.
I’m happy to have those words done and I’m happy to be stitching something besides black. Since I first started this on August 1, all I’ve stitched is black except for that little bit of red in the top left flower. The other night, I just had to stitch something else so I stitched one strand of red.
I had already stitched the first line of text and started on the second line. I thought about doing “Learning” and “Yearning” just so I’d know where those lines ended so I could start the row beneath them but I’m glad I stuck with it and got the letters done. There’s still some border fill in and I think, now that this is back in a scroll frame, I’m just doing to do everything in order, top to bottom.
I started the basket to the right of free because I wanted to be sure the spacing was going to be right with the right side border.
I’m not sure what we’re going to be doing today but I would love to finish that right basket, finish the top left flower and maybe start on the top right flower. That’s probably more than I’ll get done today but the next thing I’ll do is the border fill in work starting at the top and workin my way down as I work all the other stitching.
There’s a lot of fun stitching coming up. The solid fill in work for the next border box is going to be kind of . . not boring but I’ll get easily distracted and want to start something new while doing all that. I think I’ll be so close to being finished that I will want to stick with it . . or, at least that’s what I’m hoping.
I do love this project and love the message. So true . . at least for me.

I started the lower word box this week, I changed the black to DMC 3371, black brown. I am saving the date and initials for last. I did the two baskets on either side, as I wanted to break into then colors too.

I finished all the center parts and just started the zigzag border edges for this section. I haven’t decided whether I’ll work or the top or bottom next.
