Last night I made another one of those three ingredient pie/cake things and I added lemon juice to it. I didn’t add any lemon zest because the lemons I had were kinda dried up (just the skins) and I wasn’t sure if they would stay hard in the pie so I left them out. I think it’s better after being in the fridge overnight so we didn’t cut it last night. The man is supposed to be coming back to help Vince around 7:30 and Vince said it would be nice to serve him pie. It would probably be nice to serve him lunch too . . I’ll have to think about that.
The neighbor came by just before dark and brought more okra, squash, two watermelons and honey. We have some really good neighbors! 🙂 OK . . I won’t say it . . yes, I will . . this is the best place to live! OK. I’m not going to say it again this week (but weekends don’t count).
Additions:
Yes! Yes! I watched a Hands On Design flosstube where she talked about finishing the ornament that’s part of the If Pumpkins Could Fly chart. I’ve looked at that chart several times but didn’t order it . . til yesterday. The video caused me to order a variety of colors of baker’s twine, several colors of dyed rick rack, felted wool colored pom poms and gingham check ribbon. No more flosstubes for me!
Cooking:
We had leftover beef ribs – finished them last night. I had planned to have grilled steak tonight but if the man comes back to help Vince and they work all day, I don’t think Vince will feel like grilling so I’m going to see if there’s something quick I can fix for lunch and feed the man helping and then I won’t cook dinner.
Videos I Watched:
Hands On Design which was mentioned above.
Stitching:
Same song, second verse . . I didn’t have much stitching time yesterday but I did get a few more words done on A Changed World. I think we all know how is going to be last to finish this project.
Plans for Today:
Stitch on A Changed World – nothing else! No watching flosstube. No ordering anything. Just stitching and minding my own business!

I so wished I could stay home and stitch today! but alas no. I’m already planning to have someone deliver dinner when I get home so I can just go straight to stitching for hours and hours.
Judy Laquidara says
Enjoy your stitching time. I’m hoping to get to stitch late into the night tonight too.

That sounds like the dream

Head’s up! I found an error in A Changed World, not the first one I’m afraid to say. I started in the middle and stitched up the black dog on the right and today when I was stitching on the dog on the left I noticed the back legs were different! So, I looked at the photo of the completed stitchery and it looks like the one on the left is the correct version. I noticed on the designer’s various media presences she doesn’t have an errata section. I find that irksome as if I hadn’t been following you I wouldn’t have known that something was wrong with the color chart. She sent me the corrected one but how else would have I known? 🙁
Judy Laquidara says
Thank you! If you don’t mind, I’ll copy and paste your comment and also send it to the designer.

Thanks….there is also a mistake on the yellow flower where at least one of the petals is wrong in comparison to the others. I think it was on the right side.
Judy Laquidara says
Thanks. I’ll be watching out for that.

I really am enjoying your blog Judy. I’ve been following for a couple of years but occasionally miss a post. What is your 3 ingredient pie/cake thing. Did I miss it somehow?
