Never say never but I don’t see me having 50+ project bags. I mentioned on here before that I thought about making my own, even started one and by th etime I got the zipper put in, I was so done with that thing. I don’t have a lot of cutesy fabric so, when I see one I can’t live without, I’ll just buy it. I think it would be nice to have several cute ones, maybe holiday themed – not just for using around that holiday but for having projects for that holiday in it. Like this one . .
I can keep Halloween projects in the bag and work on them year round. It’s not like a purse that would be weird looking to be using out of season. Isn’t that one adorable?
I couldn’t resist a patriotic bag since I have several patriotic projects I want to work on.
I got these from DotDotGoose and I think they’re 11″ x 13″. I’m hoping she’ll have some cute Thanksgiving fabric because I have several Thanksgiving projects. First Thankgiving will take forever but there are other Thanksgiving projects I’d like to do. Of course, I need a Christmas project bag but that’s probably about the extent of the project bags I’d need. I love the ones that are special.

LOL! I had the same experience with making my own project bags. I’ve purchased 3 and will probably only buy one or 2 more.
Did you see the exclusive sampler at Homespun Needlework on Facebook?

Your theme bags are so cute! I have made a bunch of project bags, probably close to 50. I love making them even though it does take a lot of time to cut out the fabric, interfacing and vinyl then sew them together. I sent 22 to my sister in Georgia which she shared with a friend, gave a few away, made several for myself, and sold one to one of my blogger readers.

50? That’s a lot. Good for you!

I made 2 project bags. So far. I don’t see myself ever needing much more than that. I hope. You’d think with all the quilt fabric I have, all I’d have needed was zippers and vinyl, but nooooooo! More fabric, at least they only took a couple of fat quarters each. One reason I made them was when/where I was looking at them to purchase, the sizes didn’t seem like you could put a pattern copy in without folding it. So mine are just a tad larger – 11″x13″ finished, enough to easily fit 8.5×11″ paper through the zipper opening.

I’ve been careful to get 11 x 13 because it did seem like some of them would be too tight to get the larger pattern into.
