I could start the title of every blog “Busy Morning” or “Busy Afternoon” but it’s all our own fault.
We bought the new fridge. It will be delivered Monday but I’m not sure if it’s DNA, engineer, bull headed, tightwad or what . . but Vince is determined to fix the broken fridge.
I said “IF you fix it, we’ll have four fridges and IF we ever get a new fridge for the kitchen and keep the old one, we’ll have FIVE fridges so please . . let this one go!” Nope .. he’ going to fix it.
I guess that’s no worse than spending months/years making little “x’s” on fabric, right?
The funny thing is that when Vince moved the fridge from the wall, we discovered a vacuum port.
I didn’t know that was there. That means there are at least two in the garage and I wouldn’t be surprised if there isn’t a third one over in the third bay. I sent Jeremy a note and told him we made a discovery this morning.
But, the fridge still isn’t fixed and Vince has made no headway with Frigidaire trying to order parts so hopefully, the fridge will get taken away.

He could put the 5th fridge in his shop!

I don’t think he wants to give up the space when it’s not 15 steps to the door to the basement shop where there will be two fridges.

Vince is a clone of my engineer brother-in-law. In the past he was always determined to keep the old item and fix it, even when they bought a new one to replace it. And in my BIL’s case, he rarely got things fixed, or if he did it took years. LOL Must just be in the DNA of those engineers!

The last time Rita chewed completely through her heating pad and even then, after Vince wrapped it in tape and I made a cover for it, when it finally quit working, he saved it to take a part and “fix” it. It sat in the corner for several months and I finally put it in the bottom of a trash bag and got rid of it. I’m betting he never asks about it . . at least, I hope not.

One can only hope he can’t fix it! LOL
Judy Laquidara says
Actually I’m hoping he can’t because if he does, and if our new house fridge ever comes in, that will mean we have five fridges and we do not need five fridges.

They could be twins! Our refrigerator is about 14 years old and has always been incredibly noisy. Our kitchen/dining/living area is open so that noisy refrigerator drives us both crazy. A couple days ago he spotted a Samsung refrigerator on one of our buy/sell groups that the freezer/ice maker/water dispenser all worked–just the refrigerator didn’t cool. They wanted $100 for it and it was only six years old. My husband offered them $75 which they accepted and he thinks he can fix it. They could be twins!

I hope he can. What a deal if he can.
