We did finally get our fish. Vince picked it up and brought it home. It’s so nice to be able to toss fries in the air fryer and have them nice and fresh and HOT. Sometimes I think they’re even better than when they’re first served at the restaurant. I’m kinda thinking of getting a bigger air fryer but haven’t looked into that yet. Any recommendations? I still have the first one I bought and I’m hoping there are some with larger capacities now but I don’t want one that will take up much more room on the counter.
Additions:
A couple of things were ordered – all necessities, of course! It was National Cross Stitch Day so . . of course I needed to order something! Little Stitches carries a lot of different threads/floss. She often has the hard to get colors that I can’t find other places. Her shipping is lightning fast. I ordered around 10: a.m. and by noon, the package had been shipped. I had an email that there were some updates and some Gentle Arts floss was restocked. I had been needing Old Purple Paint, Picnic Basket and Freedom. She had all three (plus many more) so I ordered those, along with a couple I had needed recently when I was kitting up some projects.
I also ordered a couple of pieces of Lugana. I’ve mentioned before that Sheri from The Loopy Ewe likes stitching one over one on 25 count Lugana, which makes it the same as sitching on 50 count linen. I want to try something small doing that before I try something big so I ordered a small piece and a big piece of 25 count Potato Lugana from 123 Stitch.
Lastly, I ordered the Blackbird’s Anniversaries of the Heart 2 – Valentine Rose. I’ve loved this house for a long time but you know how it bothers me to have dark in the windows so that always kept me from getting it but today I was looking at it again and thought . . I can change those windows to a pale yellow and it will look like either daytime, a candle is burning or the lights are on. Probably not many electric lights in 1892 but they had candles (I hope). Anyway, when I stitch this, the lights will be on because I do not like dark rooms.
Cooking:
None! Never once turned on the stove.
Videos I Watched:
I finished watching Brenda & The Serial Starter’s #56. At about 37, Brenda shows her start on The Bells on Christmas Day (the project on the bottom right corner of the cover), which is one I mentioned this week that I want to start. I said “Oh, I want to do that one!” Vince started talking. I stopped the video, took off my ear buds and said “Huh??” He said “Are you talking to me?” I said “No! I’m talking to Brenda and Laura.” He had this look like . . She started cross stitching and she’s lost her mind. Probably, Vince . . probably!
I also finished watching Crosshatch Quilts #15. I think she said it had been a couple of months since she had done a video after having had eye surgery but she had a lot of progress to show. The things she does are a lot of the same things I like, though I mostly buy and don’t seem to stitch so much. I just don’t understand how all these people get so much done. I’m sure they wouldn’t understand how I get so little done
Stitching:
I got done on the Rooster Alphabet what I had hoped to get done. Finished the letters through V and got the tail finished and the head done. I kinda don’t like this project. I’ll love it finished but it’s a lot of counting iwth all those open space.
He will get put away til Monday.
Plans for Today:
My weekend stitching plans include four hours per day on A Changed World and the rest of the time I will be working on Thy Love Divine. The last time I worked on it was April 30.
I’m not even sure what my exact strategy will be for working on these two. On A Changed World, I think I’ll tackle those four corner flowers. On Thy Love Divine, I will continue working on the borders. There’s more beneath what is shown here (that hasn’t been done yet) but I believe I’ll at least finish the top and the two side borders (probably not this weekend), then finish the stitching below the red line, then finish the borders and that will be it.
Originally I had planned to have this finished by our anniversary, which was two weeks ago. I can’t believe I got this much done, then stopped for three months.

I think lugana holes are bigger and easier to see than linen holes. I’m stitching on 32 count lugana and I keep looking at it thinking . . I could easily do 1 over 1 on this so 25 should be a piece of cake. We’ll see.

We got the Ninja Foodi Flip air fryer and oven in May and just love it. It’s got a huge basket for air frying, a large tray for baking (it’s also a convection oven) and a rack for baking or toasting. I love that it folds up and takes up little counter space when it’s not being used. I got mine at Costco but I think you’ll find them almost anywhere. My daughter got one and they love it, too.

I remember hearing about that from someone else. I’ll check into it. Thanks! Everything I’ve had from Ninja has been great.

I have a Ninja Foodie DuoZone and we love it. It has 2 baskets that can be operated separately or programmed to “match cook” with the first basket. The only downside is that it is pretty big. We have the multi layer racks to increase the amount of food we can cook in it. I’m so sorry I was determined to not get an air fryer. I use it every day.

Ours is one of the first ones that I saw when they got popular and it’s big but has a small basket. We can only heat up one slice of pizza at a time. When we first got it, we used it all the time, then we didn’t. When I got here, I didn’t have it and decided I didn’t need it. Then when it arrived, and we started using it all the time again, mostly since I am not a microwave user, I feel like we need a bigger/better one. I did just order the Ninja Foodi Flip (I think that’s what it’s called.

I love my Pampered Chef – air fryer, oven, rotisserie, and a few other things I’m forgetting, all-in-1!

We have the INSTANT POT OMNI. It is wonderful. I never use my stove oven now because the Omni accommodates a 9 x 13 pan/dish. So between that and my 3 Instant Pots, I seldom use the stove, except for storage.
Judy Laquidara says
That looks like a “real” oven. Thanks!
