This morning I woke up thinking about the Show Stopper projects. I would be very happy to have any or all of those that I shared in yesterday’s post finished.
You know how I am with the new, shiney objects but there’s one coming out at the Fall Needlework Expo . . not sure if it will be called Honest Abe or The Lincoln Sampler, but I really want to do that. You can see it here where it’s available for pre-order. It’s by Twin Peak Primitives so it kinda looks like companion pieces to First Thanksgiving or even One Nation Under God.
Chrissy at Finally a Farm Girl did the model stitching and shared the finished project on her flosstube. It’s Flosstube #14 and look starting at about 20:00.
The shops will be able to pre-order at Expo so by the time the shop where I’m ordering it gets it and ships it to me, it will probably be the end of September before I get it . . at the earliest.
One project I’ve been wanting to do, which probably isn’t a real show stopper but I love it . . is The Bells on Christmas Day. There are five (I think) charts in this booklet but it’s the one at the bottom right of the cover that I want to do.
Another chart I’m really wanting to stitch is In our Home by Teresa Kogut. This is one that was part of a retreat recently but Teresa was able to provide it to Patreon members and that’s how I got it.
So, my plan is this:
- If the Lincoln chart isn’t here by September 1, and I’m 100% sure it won’t be, I’ll start The Bells on Christmas Day.
- When I finish it, if the Lincoln chart still isn’t here (it probably will be), I’ll start In Our Home.
- Once I start one, I’ll have to finish that one before I can start on Lincoln.
I think I’m going to make myself a list (because you know how I love lists) of all the Show Stopper charts I want to stitch. If I stitched more and spent less time making lists . . nevermind . . lists will always be what I do the most! 🙂
