Sheri from The Loopy Ewe headed up our Cross Stitch Camp for June, July and August. In her latest flosstube, she talks about a September stitching challenge for the Cross Stitch Camp Facebook group.
Please watch her video for details if you’re interested but basically, it’s a “show stopper”, and that will probably mean something different to all of us. It doesn’t have to be completed in September. From what I’ve read, many are planning on staring very long term projects.
There are several charts in my collection that I look at, would love to have framed and on my wall but wonder if I’ll ever get them done. Of course I will NOT get them done if I don’t start them.
Here are some of the charts that came to mind as soon as I heard Sheri’s plan. The pictures are a bit blurry because they’re all from the 123 Stitch website and the enlarged photos there are kinda blurry.
Land That I Love:
Consider the Lilies:
First Thanksgiving:
Let Freedom Ring:
One Nation Under God:
I would LOVE to some day have all of these on my walls but . . which one will I choose for September? I do not know!

I love all of them but really like One Nation Under God

My vote, not that you asked for it, goes on ‘ Consider the Lilies’. It’s a bit unlike the other pieces you’ve done. I also like it’s companion piece ‘His Eye is on the Sparrow ‘.

No question…Land that I Love. I know, you didn’t ask for opinions, but I LOVE that one!!!

One Nation Under God is fantastic!

I really like The First Thanksgiving. It’s fun that we all like different ones!

I like First Thanksgiving.

Land that I Love because it has an eagle and a turkey! Independence Hall is stunning. I would have to put the partially finished piece in my will ’cause the hall is enormous! Let Freedom Ring because of the message. I love First Thanksgiving but wouldn’t keep it up all year long. Choices, choices. I don’t have a good track record with large pieces 🙁

Oh my! They are all showstoppers! I looked up Consider the Lilies and my heart loves it but the number of stitches and all the little “fiddly-bits” would do me in! lol Any one you choose would be amazing!

I LOVE First Thanksgiving. You’ve already done several patriotic things, so this would give you something a little different. That’s my reasoning, for what it’s worth!
