It sometimes takes me a while to find my rhythm when stitching a new design.

At first, I was stitching everything that was green – the lines, the flower and the leaves. I kept confusing myself so I switched to just stitching the lines, then going back and adding the flowers and leaves. Even though it meant more stops and starts, it went much faster.

It may be hard to see in this small picture taken before I have any natural light shining in but the lines, flowers and leaves started out green, then just to the left of where the last of the leaves are, it switched to black and the only acorn that is stitched is black.
I love that I managed to choose colors that weren’t terribly contrasting and still blend a bit like the original design.
I probably say this every day but I don’t think I have much happening today so I would love to at least get all the lines done on the border. Probably a slim chance but I can hope.
