Yesterday after the visitor, my day was pretty shot. I couldn’t get motivated. I watched the videos. There were four. One – he came across the yard on a bicycle and parked at the front steps. Two – the doorbell camera. Three. He walked back down the steps to his bicycle and put something in his backpack. I think it was what he had in his hand when he walked up to the door. Four – Leaving down the driveway and meeting Vince. Three different cameras got good images.
We visited with one of our neighbors (not so much about that but we did talk about it).
We had the birthday cupcakes and macarons and Addie opened her birthday present from us.
Then I stitched for a couple of hours.
Chad and Nicole are coming to get Addie this morning, take her to breakfast, go do a few things in Joplin and then go back home so most of the weekend, it will be just us here.
Vince usually runs to the Farmers’ Market on Saturday to pick up our CSA box but the lady is sick so he isn’t going to go at all. No need to be out mingling with people. Even though it’s outside, it’s pretty crowded this time of year.
We have plenty of leftovers so I doubt I cook. Hopefully, I’ll get lots of stitching done because today, I start my Blackbird first weekend project. I’ll show you later.

I would also be so at wit’s end with that kind of thing going on Judy!

I keep trying to think about something else. Just knowing he’s been here twice and will probably be back . . it’s about more than I can handle. But, this too shall pass.

You have the cameras and that will help. It sounds like a quiet weekend is what you need anyway.

My neighbor came over yesterday morning and left us a plant on the deck table. Never knew she was here. This bothers me. Our vicious watchdog never made a sound. But I bet those 4 teeth could make a dent in someone’s ankle.

Yes, even one tooth would hurt. I pitched my case for a dachshund puppy again yesterday. They’ll never scare a burglar off but someone would have a slim chance of getting past most dachshunds without them making a lot of noise.
I’ve learned this past month that without cameras, we truly never knew what went on around here. We would never have known that guy came up the first time and wouldn’t have seen that he had a glass breaking tool in his hand Friday.
I’m not sure we’ll ever feel 100% safe anywhere with the way things are going.
