The chart I’ll stitch has been narrowed down to two.
My first choice is Quaker de Noel by Jardin Prive.
This one is 150 stitches by 150 stitches, which may be a bit difficult to get done in a month but I’ll have to decide if I’d rather finish it during the August Cross Stitch Camp time frame or take a little longer in order to have this framed and up for Christmas.
The second option is Rooster Alphabet Sampler which is 57 stitches by 96 stitches so it’s a good bit smaller so in the end, I may go with that one since I want both of them.
The August challenge is to use either floss or fabric (or both) that you’ve never used before. I have Black Cherry Gloriana Silk that I ordered to stitch Quaker de Noel. I’ve never used Gloriana Silk. I have Victorian Motto’s Victorian Red for the rooster and I’ve never used Victorian Motto’s floss so either of those will work for August.
Here’s the Victorian Motto red next to the red I’m currently using (Sulky 12 wt. 1147).
Probably I’ll stitch the rooster because I want to do that, get it done and spend a lot of time on A Changed World, which starts August 1.
