I’ve wanted to take a nap since I first got up but knew I couldn’t til this was fixed. It’s fixed and I’m going to take a nap as soon as I hit “post”.
I need to get a foamcore board out and pin these things down before taking pictures because the waviness makes it hard to even see what’s straight and what’s not.
Someone asked why I couldn’t just move the F and G down instead of restitch H – N. That would have left too many spaces above the F, G, H and I and that wouldn’t have matched the spacing between the rows above it. Also, I had already stitched O, P, and Q and was starting R when I noticed that H was too far down so taking out H – N was the best fix.
I’m going to take a nap and then decide if I want to work on something else for a while or get back on this one.

Dear Judy, I for one appreciate your willingness to show the mistake and the work that had to be done to fix it. All of us make mistakes but it is hard to admit it. Since I began reading your posts I pulled out an old unfinished work I had started years ago. Boy the mistakes…..some could be left without a whole rip out but as I restarted on one cross stitched log cabin I couldn’t get it right. I had to tear it out three times! Frustrating ,for sure but I loved this pattern. I am determined to finish it before my eyes totally go. Thank you for your inspiration .

I think I don’t have a problem with admitting my mistakes but maybe I do. I thought about a lot of ways to try to make that ok because ripping back 6 whole letters was not what I wanted to do but I’m so glad I did.
I hope you’re able to get your piece finished soon. It will be so gratifying to have fixed it!
I was watching Fox & Rabbit’s Video #4 a day or so ago and I think she has ripped one area out of a sampler three times! That encouraged me to rip mine out and fix it.

Is there supposed to be a “W”? (1st letter of my last name so it stuck out to me!)

I may have missed this but why isn’t there a W?
