Just a recap for anyone who missed it . . several times a year, there are online groups that come together for a three day weekend and everyone is challenged to stitch for 24 hours during that three day period. It doesn’t have to be 24 hours straight. It can be 12 hours x two days or 8 hours x 3 days . . however it works for the individual stitcher.
On Friday, I stitched 7 hours.
Yesterday (Saturday) morning after breakfast and doing a few chores, I started stitching at 9 a.m. on the dot. I went downstairs and stitched with Boots, pretty much uninterrupted til a little after 3 p.m. That’s about 6 hours, plus I had one hour from midnight til 1 a.m. on Friday night, which counted for Saturday’s stitching so that was 7 hours. At 3 p.m., I came upstairs, started a load of laundry, heated up some leftovers for our dinner, ate, took a nap from about 4 til 5:30, transferred the clothes to the dryer, went out and watered the garden and did a few things outside, came back in, started stitching again at 7:30 p.m. and stitched til midnight but I probably messed around on the computer half an hour during that time . . checking the weather, checking the local news, etc. I’ll say I stitched four more hours so I got in 11 hours of stitching yesterday.
My total stitching time for Friday and Saturday is 18 hours. Surely I can get 6 more hours in today.
Here’s where I started stitching on Saturday:
I just surprised myself! I was thinking I had said I would try to get through the K but I only made it through the J but when I looked back at yesterday’s post, I actually said I hoped to get through the J so . . I met my goal!
Saturday we had leftovers for dinner and cereal for breakfast. I’m thinking I should spend a little time in the kitchen today. Yesterday I got 10 letters done plus finishing the Z. I’m going to try to get 8 letters done today so if I get through the R, I’ll feel like I accomplished a lot.
If I do finish the R today, then hopefully on Monday I can finish the rest of the letters and on Tuesday work on the finishing the top and side borders and then Wednesday finish stitch the bottom border and this piece will be finished! My goal is to have it finished before August 1 so I think I can meet that goal.

Looks like your H I J letters are one row longer than the F G letters in the same row…hope I’m wrong!

Everything to the right of the H is not longer but started one row too low. It all has to be redone.
