I am not talking about any flosstuber in particular – just making a general statement. Most all of the flosstubes I watch are because someone else mentioned them on their flosstubes but sometimes I go to one and the person has little mannerisms or just ways of doing things that cause me to not even finish watching the video. Probably at least a third of the ones I watch and wait patiently (kinda) for new videos are ones I initially said . . NO! Can’t do this. Sometimes it’s a little giggle, or a snort after every sentence, etc. There are some I’ve gone back to and still said No! Those are usually the ones who get promotions from various vendors and their entire video seems like a commercial. I don’t like those kind.
I go back to them because they stitch the same kinds of things I like and sooner or later, I end up really liking them and usually I totally don’t even notice whatever if was that bugged me before. I’m telling you that because if someone stitches the type projects you like and you’ve given up on them because of something they do that bugs you, it may be worth giving them another try.
I’m not into artsy designs. They’re beautiful. I love some of them and I’ve even thought of ordering them from time to time but I know I’d never finish them and if I did, I probably wouldn’t display them in our home. Most of the flosstubes I like are ones that are either Americana, reproduction samplers or new(er) type samplers. If those aren’t what you like, you may not like my flosstube favorites list over in the sidebar.
All that to say I’ve added two new ones to my list. They are:
- The Contented Stitcher – I’ve watched her for quite a while and was surprised she wasn’t on my list. She does a lot (maybe all) of her own framing. She has a stash of frames she’s purchased through the years and she will stain, wax, do all kinds of things to change them up and they’re really pretty. She’s a prolific stitcher and I love everything I’ve seen that she’s done.
- Fox and Rabbit – They are newer flosstubers. I knew they had started flosstubing but I watched their first one last night. I’ve had the others playing today while I’m stitching. I was familiar with them because I’ve purchased some of their linen. I’ve never stitched on it but I may use a piece for the August Cross Stitch Camp piece and I’m using their linen for A Changed World.
If you like flosstubes, check those out but be careful. I think I may need to some flosstube intervention. I received a package in the maili today and there were several things I had ordered and there were two charts that I looked at and thought “Did I order these?” I went back to my receipt online and yes, I ordered them the same time I ordered the other things.
I guess I like it. I can’t really see me stitching it. The other one is by the same company and similar enough. I suppose I saw someone stitching one or both of them on a flosstube and decided I had to have them. Not real sure about that but I have them now!

I watched Fox & Rabbit last weekend for the first time- I started with the 3rd one and then had to go back and watch the first two since I enjoyed them a lot. And I see there’s a new one I haven’t seen so I think that’s on the agenda for later today.

I’ve only watched the first two and part of the third one so I’m still catching up.

I’ve been wanting to mention Pumpkin Hollow Quilts. It’s mostly about cross stitch, but she does show quilts at the end sometimes. I really enjoy her videos.

Thank you. I’ll find her and watch.
