During the week, I noticed several of the groups I’m in on Facebook mentioned “24 HOC” which is 24 hours of stitching. It seems that several times a year, there’s an event where people plan ahead, get all their snacks lined up, send the kids to grandma’s, or, in my case, send the kid home to mom and dad and try to stitch for 24 hours over a three day period. Some may try to stitch 24 hours straight – not me! Some plan to do 12 hours over two days or 8 hours over three days or whatever works. Some, probably myself, plan to do as much as we can and not worry too much about the hours.
I would like to keep up with how much hours I stitch – just to know.
It’s almost 12:30 and I haven’t started yet so . . who knows if I’ll get in a full 8 hours today.
This is what I’ll be working on, at least through today. This is where I was when I started working on this one again on July 21.
Here’s where I’m starting today.
I do need to step it up if I’m going to finish this piece before August 1 and I have two new starts.

What thread are you using?
Judy Laquidara says
Sulky 12 wt cotton. The color is 1147.
Shelley says
Thanks. We’re you doing 1×1 or over 2?
Judy Laquidara says
I’m doing one stand of floss (12 wt. is heavier than one strand of DMC) over two threads and stitching on 36 count linen. So, I’m doing 1 over 2.
Rebecca says
Did you go down an extra stitch on the N, or is it designed to be that wide?
Lovely borders.
Judy Laquidara says
The N is stitched as designed. It doesn’t actually go down a stitch. They all line up.
