This is kind of surprising for me . . in a good way. I only have five unfinished cross stitch projects! On the other hand, I only have five completed projects but I hope to whittle down those unfunished projects, though I certainly wouldn’t mind if I kept five UFOs. That’s a workable number for me.
Every project that I have started is something I want to finish. I haven’t lost interest in any of them.
Last night I was sure I’d start a new project today and kept thinking about something I could start and finish in 10 days – before August 1 when we have another Cross Stitch Camp project and A Changed World stitching begins. I went to bed looking at charts on my XStitch app and had several possibilities in mind but this morning, looking at the list of projects, I went back to Deux Oiseaux from Blackbird’s Ooh La La booklet.
I can finish this in 10 days! I don’t think we’ll have Addie much next week since Cheer Camp starts and she has activities at home as it gets closer to school starting. Even if we do have her some next week, I should still be able to finish this. Other than her wanting to eat non-stop, she isn’t any trouble.
Yesterday she decided she would watch a movie downstairs. She wanted popcorn and normally, we don’t eat anywhere except at the table but I made popcorn for them and took it down with huge bowls and towels so hopefully there wouldn’t be a mess. They did fine. When Addie came back upstairs, I asked if she enjoyed the movie. She said “It was just about cowboys and horsies!” It made me laugh. We would have called it a “Western” but to her, it was just cowboys and horsies.
