Without enough perle cotton to finish, I just pinned A Good Marriage onto the foamcore and will lace it when more thread arrives.
This was actually the first thing I stitched. I ordered the chart on December 22 so my guess is it arrived sometime just before the first of the year. I stitched on it through the time Vince was still in Texas, when he had Covid, my parents had Covid. I was so happy to be back in Missouri, getting settled into our new home, but concerned that Vince was sick and had all the responsibility for getting the house in Texas packed up and sold . . it was a crazy time with lots of tears and prayers woven into this piece.
I love the words but I will always remember what was happening in our lives when I stitched this one.
It’s funny because as I was pinning this one to the foamcore, I remembered that my dad always told me “Judy, you have a one track mind!” I’d get started on something and wouldn’t think about anything else. I’ve had these frames all here for months. Don’t ask me why yesterday I decided to frame the first piece and then couldn’t stop today til I had the other three done. I think I was afraid to try it and once I tried it, I had so much fun and love the finished pieces so much, I just didn’t want to stop.
Tonight I hope to get the black flag finished on Veterans’ Day (I’ve said that for three days now and haven’t taken a single stitch) and who knows what I’ll do tomorrow. We do know it won’t be framing because nothing else is finished.

Well Done Judy
All so professionally finished. Love them all. What is the finished size of a good marriage including the frame? I’m off to see if I can get the chart. Xx

I sent you an email but it’s 10-1/2″ x 16″ and I used 32 count linen.

I call it tunnel vision. Can’t seem to do anything start to finish.

Love that one – the frame color matches the browns in the stitch so well.

I would say you throw yourself into things. If you had only one track in your mind, wouldn’t you do a single project start to finish? (LOL at that thought!)
Judy Laquidara says
Who knows what I would do. I suppose that’s right.
