Last night I didn’t get Veterans’ Day completely finished. I did get the dates outlined and I agree . . it looks so much better. Thanks for pushing me to do that. I added the missing blue “x” on the far right planter that I had missed. Any time you see something I’ve missed or done wrong, please let me know while there’s time to correct it.
I didn’t finish the black flag but I got the outer lines basted and was able to get the frame in the cart. The shipping is so expensive so I’m going to go ahead and order a couple more frames so I can reach the free shipping point. I’ll have to figure that all out today. I think I’m going to order frames for Farmhouse Christmas, A Changed World and Pet All Dogs.
I finished all the flowers (I hope) and did the bit of outline stitching for A House Is . .
I have the frame for that one and hope to get started framing it today.
A little girl may have different ideas. My plans never seem to go the way I think they will when she’s here but . . that’s what it’s all about . . spending as much time with her as I can.

Wow – outlining the dates was just what they needed. It’s amazing how that made them pop. You’re doing great with all your projects. I have yet to step up to anything other than Aida. I have a trip planned this week to go a needle shop and want to get some linen or other fabric to try a small project. Excited, but scared!

It’s weird but I understand the excited but scared part. Have fun. Wish I was close enough to meet you there!

The letters look super! It adds a bit to the overall picture, I think. I admire your ability to cross stitch and have it turn out so wonderfully, and can’t wait to see your framed pictures – it will be stunning on the wall. I can do a little embroidery, generally just a little bit on quilts I make, but I’ve always admired others who cross stitch!

****Those numbers look so much more solid with the outline stitching. Congratulations on a great choice!

You are missing one flower on the tree on the left. Right side, third flower down is missing.
Judy Laquidara says
THANK YOU!! I knew that one needed to be stitched and kept reminding myself, then put it away to work on Veterans’ Day and totally forgot. I appreciate your catching that!

I’m curious if you enjoy outline stitching. I never enjoyed that part of cross stitching and I’ve notice you don’t have a lot of patters with online stitching.
Judy Laquidara says
I don’t mind outline stitching. It seems the patterns I’ve liked just don’t have it but it isn’t that I avoid it. I kinda like having mindless parts to stitch that I can do while visiting with the family but I won’t go looking for patterns with outline stitching. It’s especially nice when it makes such a dramatic difference, as it did with these dates.

Good Job! Love it!

Outlining the dates was exactly the bit extra that they needed! You do great work!

Thanks!
