I made myself a list because it would be just like me to have no idea what frames went with which charts and have to be measuring and re-measuring. Now . . let’s just hope my math is right.
Choosing frames is hard for me for several reasons. First, I’m so NOT into decorating. We lived in our Texas house for over 9 years. I told the former owners it was ok to leave all the nails in the walls . . I’d hang stuff up. In nine years, I ever hung one thing. We did put the big framed tin up on the mantle but it just sat there . . not even attached to the wall. Jeremy and Angie left some nails in the walls and I hung some of the things we bought from Goodwill up. The things we bought to reuse the frames – they’re now on my walls.
Second, I’m not going to say I don’t like real decorative frames but I’m my attracted to more basic frames. I don’t mind wider frames on smaller pieces but I don’t like frames that are much bigger than 2″ on anything. I’m not a fan of gold, silver, platinum or painted frames (unless they’re that shade of green that I love). The truth is . . there are about three frames that I love – the green one and two more that I already have for other pieces. Except that I know it’s a decorating faux paus, I would use those same three frames for everything. Because one of them will be in our bedroom, I did order one of them again for a piece that will be in the family room.
I ordered eight frames. One of them is for Veterans’ Day (already stitched) so that leaves seven pieces, and some of them are larger, for me to get stitched before I need frames again. Plus, we have some frames here that I have pieces chosen that I will stitch for those. My plan is kinda to stitch the seven pieces for the frames I ordered, then stitch at least a few more before ordering frames. I want frames as soon as I finish but (1) I hate paying the shipping and (2) It’s easier to choose frames (I think) after the piece is finished. We’ll see how I did with these. IF I end up not liking one of these frames, I don’t think I paid much more for any one of them than what shipping would be on one frame so I’m not going to beat myself up if I end up changing my mind on one of them after they arrive. If I change my mind about all of them . . that will be a problem but I don’t think that will happen.
OK . . here are the rest of the frames and the pieces I plan to stitch to go with them.

This one is 1-3/4″ and the description says “Distressed Aged Green” so I think it will work fine.

The frame for this one is 1-1/2″ and now that I look at the frame, I think it’s the same frame I got for Big Red House. Oh well . . I told you I would be happy using the same frames over and over.

The frame is 1-1/8″ wide and this is the same frame for the Marriage piece I did (that I may frame today!) The marriage piece will hang in our bedroom and this one will hang maybe in the foyer. Not sure yet.
Now . . I’m going to frame something!
