Who knew shopping for frames could be such hard work and take so long? I spent almost three hours this morning trying to reach the free shipping limit. I order frames from Custom Frame Solutions. Denise told me about them and she’s ordered from them multiple times and I’ve ordered from them several times. Their frames, so far, have been really nice and they aren’t terribly expensive but often, if I’m ordering only one frame, the shipping is more than the frame.
When I was ready to place the order for the Veterans’ Day frame, the cost of the frame was $18 and the shipping was more so I mentioned to Vince that instead of spending that much every time I needed a frame, I was going to order ahead . . reach the $250 free shipping amount and be done for a while.
Sit back and grab a Dr. Pepper because this is going to be a long and very picture heavy post! I’m not going to add the links to all the charts but I’m putting the correct names and the designer and the picture. Edit: It’s too long. I’m going to make two posts.
Veterans’ Day at Twin Gables
You’ve already seen this one. It’s by Heartstring Samplery.
This is the frame I chose for it. I think this may be a different frame than I showed the other day. It’s 1-5/8″ satin black.
A Changed World
This one is by The Scarlett House. I saw yesterday that 123Stitch has this chart in stock! I cannot wait to start this one!
I chose a black frame for this one also. I think this may be the one I originally planned to use for Veterans’ Day. It’s 1-5/8″ wide also.
Welcome Autumn
This one is by The Drawn Thread and I want to do all four seasons to put above my mantle and beneath the large picture I have up there.
The frame I chose is a basic wooden frame, 1-1/4″ wide. For all of these season pieces, I’ll probably choose frames that are very plain because the frame of the tin above it is ornate.
Catharine Dickenson
This one is by Scattered Seeds Samplers.
I love this frame because I love this shade of green. I was tempted to get it for A Changed World but didn’t. This one is 1-3/4″ wide.
I really do love that frame. That’s the color I’d love to paint our bedroom walls .. maybe a bit lighter but so close. We won’t because we don’t do stuff like that but I love it. Got that? I love this shade of green.
OK . . enough for now. I have a hungry framily and they’ll both be hangry if they don’t get fed soon.
