Chad loves old hand planes and has quite a collection of them. When I was at their house today returning Addie home, I snapped a picture of them.
If you ever meet Chad, do NOT mention hand planes. He will talk about them for days!!
Seeing all his stuff organized, without clutter, you can see why I send him over the edge. 🙂

That’s really cool. Even the levels are old ones. I have some tools that belonged to my grandfather. Someone like Chad would really appreciate them. They will go to my nephew who likes to work with wood.

I’m sure your nephew will appreciate them. Chad loves using them and that’s better than just collecting them.

The apple didn’t fall from the tree in the collecting department. But, it’s good to have a hobby. Glad you are recovering. I worried when I didn’t see any posts and I knew you had a bug of some kind.

I was surprised how long I felt awful. Even my mom said “That is weird for you because you’re never sick!” but I was this time. Glad to be back.

I have all my grandfathers hand planes (4-6). One is still in the wood box it came in. I loved them as a child played for hours with them. I’ve his brace and bit comb in box too( that’s the ting you used before electric drills came out. , Along with a metal can maker. Yes they made their own tin cans for storing food. I’ve got two huge jacks for raising houses I used them last October to redo the flooring in my storage building that had rotted out. Funny thing got building raised then didn’t know how to get jacks down. It was a callenge for me a woman to raise a 10×10 foot building AND PUT NEW JOIST ,cross beams AND FLOORING DOWN ALONE. But I did it took 2 weeks.

WOW! You did that and you have all his old planes. Chad would LOVE to see a picture of the one with the box if you ever have time to take a picture.
