It’s my own fault. I’m allergic to tomato vines. I knew that and I guess I kinda forgot since everything is different here. After looking for the tomato hornworm Sunday and again for a good while last night, I came in and my eyes were itching and I was sneezing. About 11 p.m., my throat got so sore from nasal dripping so I took two aspirins and went to bed and slept maybe an hour. Tossing and turning; up and down.I finally got up about 4 and came in the living room and started cross stitching.
I went to the doctor .. she told me to keep using Flonase, keep taking zyrtec but I can take two per day for a couple of days and I got a shot. I should be feel better soon . . hasn’t happened yet but those shots usually work quickly. I’m trying to decide if I want to use this to go out to eat or if I’d rather just cook at home.
I needed bloodwork to check my thyroid meds and I had been putting it off. Yesterday I said I was going to go get that done today and then realized I had a refill left on the Rx so I decided not to go but since I had to go anyway, I got that done.
I definitely will use this to sit and cross stitch all day.
The donut shop I’ve been going to is right by the doctor’s office. How convenient! 🙂 I stopped by there and got donuts.
The good news is that when I went for my annual in April, my blood pressure was high and the doctor suggested a low dose BP med. I said no . . it’s always low. I’m not taking meds because of one high reading – especially with the move, the Texas house sale and Vince and I learning to live together again. When I went back today, I was kinda holding my breath when she took my BP. She said “WOW! Your blood pressure is on the very low side of excellent!” That was good news. I wasn’t terribly worried about it and figured if it was high for a few times, then I’d consider meds. Now I can get that off my mind.

Hope you feel better; and get lots of stitching done while you’re on the mend 🙂

Aren’t tomato hornworms just the ickiest ever? In CA we could grow coleus plants in the house. Mine was about 2-1/2 feet across and hung in the kitchen over the dishwasher and counter. One day I found one of those worms – caterpillars really, and that was the end of my plant. Ugh, right there in the kitchen where I fixed our food and baby bottles. Glad you found some XS time and that you don’t have high BP.

I didn’t know they would eat coleus too. Yes, I think they are so gross . . weird and gross. My BP has always been low . . low enough that Vince thinks I’m half dead. I figured and hoped it was just something going on and the BP wasn’t going to stay up and apparently it didn’t.
Fever has gone away – not sure if whatever I had has run it’s course or I finally took enough aspirins but am hoping for a MUCH better day tomorrow.

I’m so sorry you are feeling awful! I hope it really does pass quickly.
