These are the days I’ve dreamed of for so long and, today I’m so thankful that we were able to move back to MO. Really, this is pretty much what I live for.
Addie’s been with us a couple of days. Chad and Nicole came over this morning. Chad and Vince went to the meat market and got more meat. I think Vince just got more sausage but Chad got ground beef, sausage, and beef short ribs. From there, they went to a flea market over in Oklahoma and spent a few hours. Nicole, Addie and I played Uno and then went outside for a while so Addie could draw on the driveway with her chalk.
Yesterday Vince had started doing his magic on two halves of salmon so I put those on to smoke this morning. Once they were done, Chad and Vince were back. We took one piece of salmon to our friends (she had surgery), came back, grilled chicken so we had chicken, salmon, green beans and fries.
If you can’t beat ’em, join ’em! I bought Addie a few juvenile type fireworks so she and her parents will do those tonight. They’re spending the night, I’ll fix breakfast in the morning and they’ll go home to take care of the chickens and the dog.
Have I done any stitching today? Some . . not a lot.
Two frames arrived today – one is for A House is and I need to go back and look to see what the other one is for. I hope it’s for A Big Red House but I bet it isn’t.
