Last night I went back through the blog to see if I could find when Boots first showed up. I think it early spring, 2013 when we found him in the shop. He wasn’t a baby kitten but was probably about two or three months old.
I was reading this blog post from August, 2013 and apparently he went through a time of biting and doing the crazy things he was doing here a while back.
Even when he was little and scrawny, he was still a handsome boy but not nearly as pretty as he is now.
With just a couple of days of having the stitching chair downstairs, he’s apparently settled in on a routine. Last night I wasn’t sitting and stitching and apparently he got tired of me getting up and down so much (I was organizing!) and he growled at me once so he lost the privilege of sitting in the chair with me . . but just for the night. Tonight I’ll sit and stitch and not aggravate him with all the getting up and down.

Cats are such amazing animals! Certainly not a dog – – no loyalty there! If you don’t do what they want, you could be in big trouble.
Our cat, Lily, will sit and purr and be so sweet on your lap, but if you touch her just the wrong way she gets all cranky and spits or smacks at you. Occasionally she will bite.
What we do for Our animals!

I’ve got a ferrel cat that I’ve been feeding a year now. Thought it was female and pregant when it showed up. But never had kittens. When finally got close enough saw part of ear gone. Well I’ve gotten it within reaching distance in the last 5 months. And is still hisses and slaps at me when I put it food in from of her. She comes out when I call her Name Pumkin and meows and talks to me but will have nothing to do with me. I wear leather gloves now when put food down. I call her a huzzy. She just looks and meows. Boots is a pretty kitty but we never know what they went through before they came to us just remember that. Like Rita and acorns.

I think Boots was a domesticated kitten and got dumped. He’s always been friendly and fairly loving. Cat on the other hand . . feral as could be. After 7 years, I could get her once in the morning when I went to feed her but that was about it. I still got hissed at often from her.

I like to read in bed before I go to sleep. I have a calico cat that likes to snuggle up with me when I read. If she lays down too close to my face, her ears are right in front of my nose and she will flick her ears in my face. I will use her hind legs to move her down a couple inches away from my face so that she doesn’t keep flicking her ears in my nose. She will usually allow me to do that once without complaint, but if I have to move her even more, she does not like that and she will grab my hand with her teeth, not really biting, just letting me know that she is not happy with me pulling her by the legs. However, she does not get up and move away, and she will be asleep within 10 minutes.
