I think I’ve decided on the July Cross Stitch Camp project. I’m going to lose about a week of stitching because Nicole, Addie and I are taking a “girls’ only trip”. I’m so excited about our trip but I wanted to choose something that should be easy to finish so . . I chose I See Red. It’s one color of floss so it will go quickly.
The challenge for July is to stitch something from a designer I’ve never stitched before. Even though Scarlett House is in a tie with Teresa Kogut for my favorite designer, I’ve never stitched anything by Scarlett House. I’ve started a Teresa Kogut project but I haven’t finished it. In fact, I’ve barely started it so I didn’t know if that counted but I’m happy to do I See Red.
I ordered the butter board from Etsy for finishing it so I’ll be ready to finish it as soon as the stitching is done. The board works for 32 count or 36 count fabric. I’ll use 36 count. I’ll choose fabric soon and be ready to start stitching on July 1.
To the right is the dining room. To the left is the family room. Through the opening is the kitchen. I want to hang this piece about halfway between the top of the door frame and the light switch. The quilt that hangs over the rail is red, black and white so . . I think that’s a good place to hang the little red sampler.

That will be such a cute project and the perfect place to hang it.

I love this project and I love that I can visualize your beautiful home now that I’ve been there! Have fun on your girls only trip!
