This mornng Vince said “Do you know what you did last night?” Oh, my . . that question scared me. I haven’t done anything wrong that I could have revealed by talking in my sleep. The bed was clean and dry so apparently I haven’t started having accidents in the bed. “No . . what did I do?”
He said I threw my arm over and smacked him in the head, then pulled all the covers off him, wrapped myself up in them and continued to sleep.
I apologized . . I had no idea I did that. I told him that maybe I was just flipping over and my arm hit him. He is quite sure, even though I was sleeping, I meant to hit him. I told him . . now that you know what I can do . . you’d better be nicer to me. He said “Or start sleeping in the other room!” NO! That’s not happening. I’ll try to be nicer in my sleep. Let’s hope I don’t do that again.

There must be something in the air. I’ve been clobbered a couple of times lately, too!!

I hate that I did that and now I’m afraid I’ll do it again.

At least you didn’t have a plaster cast on! , now that hurts. Husband had a large bump on his chin, oops!

Those kinds of things use to happen here too. But we were kind of equal opportunity victims and mostly could just laugh about it! Now, talking in one’s sleep is another thing….I talked! Sometimes I even wake myself with my talking and my dreams are quite vivid and sometimes involve people from the past! Husband always said he couldn’t understand it but I think he was being kind!

Poor Vince.

My husband used to have bad dreams, twitch and kick and hit. Trying to wake him out of one of these dreams was asking to get hit or kicked, so I would get up and go to the bathroom, get a drink, look out the window at the moon, generally waste some time and when I went back, usually he was over the episode.
Then, he had to have a colonoscopy and the anesthesiologist said that he had sleep apnea and needed to be evaluated for that. Long story short, he had the sleep study and now has a C-PAP machine. No more bad dreams, no more giant twitching and kicking and hitting. He barely moves at night now. Sooo…if this is a routine occurrence, perhaps a sleep study is in order.

My husband does that to me in his sleep and says it’s not him but the doxies did it. I keep an extra throw beside me when he takes the covers.

I recently read (don’t remember the source or its reliability) that 1 in 4 couples sleep in separate rooms! I hope that doesn’t happen to you.
Many times when my husband turns over, I have to grip the sheet to keep him from taking it all.
