There are several cross stitch designers who have their own line of fabric. Everything Blackbird Desigs puts their name on sells out instantly, or so it seems. Yesterday as I was moving fabric around, this piece caught my eye.
I have no idea how old it is. I have no idea when or where I bought it. Normally I don’t buy small prints like that but for some reason, I did.
I also had no idea that I had any Blackbird Designs fabric so I was happy to find it. I’ll be paying closer attention to see if I have more of their fabric.

That’s cool! Now, what you need to do is find a blackbird design that will coordinate with the fabric. Then, you can get a mat cut, and cover it with the fabric.

That fabric came out in 2011 – I made something out of a layer cake of that fabric line – I think it was a donation quilt for something but the fabric you have I bought for the backing fabric and think I still have a scrap or two of it around.

WOW! 10 years ago. Thank you for clearing that up. There was a quilt shop near me in Brownwood that went out of business in probably 2012 or 2013 and I bet I got it there on sale.

I probably shouldn’t mention that Teresa Kogut has a line of fabric coming out, it is based on her Heaven and Nature cross stitch design.

I know and I’ll probably get some because I love her so much but will I ever use it?
