Why can’t I stay on track? Never have … probably never will.
Yesterday I had such big plans of cross stitching all day and I didn’t get started til almost 8 p.m. What did I do? Good question!
Fairly early in the day Vince went to town and I had planned to start cross stitching then. Instead, I started making carnitas for Thursday. I took the pressure cooker outside on the deck and assembled everything in there and got it going. I went down and worked in the garden for a while. By then it was getting hot so I came in and went downstairs to play with Boots. I don’t like leaving him upstairs when Vince is in and out . . I’m afraid Boots will escape. So, til I knew what Vince was going to be doing when he got home, I wanted Boots to stay in the sewing room. While in there, I started unpacking a few more boxes.
Vince got home and needed my help for a bit outside.
Then it was time for dinner, which was just leftovers.
The biggest time killer was that a friend is going to stitch the same chart I want to stitch and we spent hours chatting about what floss we’re going to use. Neither of us will probably use what we decided we’d use so . . total waste of time but fun.
In yesterday’s post, here’s what I said I had to get done:
Finish the trunk of the tree (near the bottom). Done!Finish the letters at the bottom “e a friend to all”. Done!- Stitch four leaves.
- Stitch four small “decorations” in the words.
Stitch the bottom border (which is just straight stitching). Done!- Stitch the right side border. Started!
- Finish the bird.
So . . that leaves stitching four leaves, stitching four “decorations”, finishing the right border, finishing the bird and . . looks like yesterday I left off windows and doors.
I know I CAN get this all done today but . . will I?

Don’t be so hard on yourself, life always gets in the way. Boots deserves a fuss. Has he taken to sitting on the ottoman?

Not a single time. He looks at it like . . that looks comfy, then proceeds hops up on my little table (which is taller), knocks all my stuff off . . then gets down. Cats!
Just writing this gave me an idea. I wonder if I put the ottoman on a box and made it taller, so long as it is sturdy, maybe he’d like that and eventually, I could remove the box and he wouldn’t notice.

Thinking like a cat? Should I be concerned? 🙂
