The salt rising bread didn’t last long but I did give most of one loaf away and we ate most of the second loaf when Chad, Nicole and Addie were here Sunday.
Vince likes it more “stinky” than the first batch was. I’m wondering if the clorine in the water caused whatever grows in it not to grow so much. It had a mild flavor but Vince wants more this time, I substituted milk for the water. If that doesn’t give us the flavor we want, I’ll try bottled spring water.
It definitely rose up and got bubbly so we’ll see what happens.

****I’m hoping for a picture of a baked loaf…eventually. Haven’t seen one yet. Sounds tasty though!

I will do that today. I think by the time I finish with the 36 hours it takes to get this bread made, I’m tired of dealing with it.
