On one of the Facebook groups I’m on, someone showed this chart last week and I wrote her to ask what was the name of it so I could get it. I’m so happy it’s a pdf and I was able to download it immediately.
The chart is Veterans Day at Twin Gables by Heartstring Samplery. My dad had a brother who died in WW II in 1945. I want to stitch this and put his initials near the right bottom corner and the year 1945 on the left bottom corner. It’s only 87 x 99 so I would love for it to be my Cross Stitch Camp for July. The challenge is “A designer you’ve never used before” and I’ve never stitched anything by Heartstring Samplery. It would be great but . . I think we’re going to Louisiana in early July and I’d love to be able to show it to my dad while we’re there so IF I finish the June project early, I’ll probably go ahead and start this so I will have it done by early July.
This one is Patriotic Poppies by Brenda Gervais. I don’t think I’ve stitched anything of hers so I could do this in July if I get the other one done.
The last chart I received is one I’ve waited for so long to get.
This is What Remains is Love and it was released as a 20th anniversary for Traditional Stitches. There were so many orders, I was in the third batch. I ordered this in early February and received it yesterday. It’s ok . . I knew it would be a good while. I ordered the kit – the fabric is Weeks Dye Works Straw 36 count and cotton overdyed floss. Someone showed this finished and they stitched it in 21 days. It isn’t that large or that detailed but I don’t think I can do it in a month so it will not be a camp project.
Otherwise, all I received was fabric. Most of the colors are so off – I took these pictures last night before putting the linen away.
On the right is 36 count Lakeside Linen. Color is Wild Rose. It’s a sweet, soft shade of pink. On the left is Russian Teacake by Access Commodities in 37 count.
These are all from Kitten Stitcher. On the left is 36 count Aged Hazelnut by XJu. In the middle is 36 count Light Hazelnut by XJ and on the right is another piece of 36 count Aged Hazelnut that I had already but added to the photo to show the difference in color in those two pieces.
These are smaller stitches. The two on the left are from Kitchen Stitcher and the one on the right is the Monthly Club fabric from XJu.
The left is Liberty Gathering Gray by R&R. Center is Hogbristle 36 count by Fox & Rabbit. On the right is 36 count Ghostly Shadows by XJu.
Last is 36 count Winter Brew by R&R.
I’m probably wrong but at this point, except for maybe three charts, I think every single thing I’ve ordered has arrived. No packages in the mail will make for boring trips to the mail box but it will make my husband happy!

I think I will keep this message around for a while. I would love to do the one that says “Some gave all” in memory of my brother. Thanks for sharing this.

I thought about you when I first saw it!

All charts are very beautiful and thoughtful tributes to our military. Memorial Day to honor all who perished; Veteran’s Day is in honor of all who served.
