It’s been one of those days when we haven’t stopped running.
This morning we went to our favorite little place to eat breakfast. Vince needed some things from town so he enticed me to go by taking me to breakfast. There’s one server that we like (none we don’t like but we’ve just gotten to know this one) so we always sit in her section. This morning we were talking about their burgers and the burgers at a place over closer to us. The lady knows we moved here from Texas and this morning, Vince said “We come here though because we like you!” She said “There’s something wrong with you people. You need to go back where you came from!”
The people sitting at the tables around us heard that conversation and they were all laughing. We got a bit rowdy in the diner this morning!
We went by another place and they have this trailer out . . something to do with a livestock show or rodeo coming up and it has all the sponsor’s names on it. I don’t know if you can see it but right in front of the wheels, in that narrow panel, it says “In God We Trust”. Don’t see that many places any more. I love it!
I finished another batch of English muffins.
I spent the better part of the day getting the salt rising bread finished. I could have sworn I took a picture after they were baked but apparently I didn’t. One loaf is gone . . we ran by Jeremy and Angie’s and took bread and tapioca pudding.
Now . . 8:35 p.m. (I started this post about four hours ago!), I’m fixing to take my first stitch!

The fact that people say things like “God bless you” and “Merry Christmas” and “I’ll pray for you” right out loud here in TN is one of my favorite things about living here.

Wait, I’m looking for a picture of that salt rising bread all done! I’m intrigued by that name. Sounds very complicated to make, thought.

We made three loaves and there’s about one-third of one left. I thought I had taken a picture, but I must not have done it. I’ll be making it again.
