My little garden is doing great. I love it. It’s such a good size for me.
Ever met someone who is NEVER happy? That would be me! I hope not but I’m telling you . . it was hot out there just before noon. I was out there maybe an hour and I was huffing and puffing. It was 75 but felt like 84. I’m not wishing I was back . . I’ll never say that . . but it was about 5 degrees cooler in Brownwood, TX. How’s that even possible?
The strawberries seem happy. They’re growing and sending out little runners, which I’m cutting off and potting. Not exaclty sure what I’ll do with those plants. I can tell you what I won’t do . . ask Vince for more garden space! 🙂
I have two yellow squash plants and they are both just full of little squash. I can see that my squash leaves are turning a bit yellow. We’ve had so much rain, it may be that they nutrients are washing out of the raised beds. I’ll fertilize everything this evening and keep a watch on those.
In my defense, I was holding Rita and trying to take a picture with her trying to get down. Can you see tomatoes on those plants? Things are a little crowded in that bed but . . we kept buying plants and I figured I’d just take my chances. I did plant basil in with the tomatoes, hoping the tomatoes will offer it a little shade.
Just enough garden to keep me happy.

How is Rita doing with the move?

Sorry, just read about Rita’s playpen. Sounds like she is doing great.

Rita seems to be doing great! Thanks!

Those are looking good! Yours are slightly ahead of mine, as we had such a slow cool spring, but there are buds, tomatoes and the broccoli is already destined for the cheese soup pot.

I think they need some nitrogen if I’m remembering correctly. Just get some tomato plant food and it should have what you need in it.

I’m a Miracle Grow fan so if Miracle Grow and epsom salt doesn’t cure it, my plants don’t make it. I fertilized this afternoon with Miracle Grow. We’ll see what happens.

It was nice here yesterday and today, but today the humidity is really bad when the sun goes behind a cloud!

How many boxes do you have all together in your garden? Give us a photo of the new mini-farm!
Judy Laquidara says
3 – 4 x 8
4 – 4 x 4

You are going to have a nice size crop (weather willing!) I just finished a new box garden and am hoping the plants are happy there.
