Today was the first day I used Rita’s playpen. That thing is awesome! I’ve had mine for a while and the style has changed a bit when looking at the ones on Amazon but it’s really a nice thing to have. It’s so easy to put together, has a zip on mesh top so a hawk or something similar can’t swoop down and get her. It has a washable bottom but I still lined it with puppy pads.
I was working out in my raised beds so I brought her out and kept her mostly in the shade under the deck. I put one of her little puffy beds in there so she didn’t seem to mind at all.
It’s so easy to unzip the top and reach in to grab her but there’s a handy little zipper door on the side (see it on the right?). It came with a carrying case and folds up very flat so it won’t take up much room in the car. It’s perfect for taking her on overnight trips. I never trust her at someone else’s house (or my own house!) and I hate her walking around on the floor in hotels. You never know what’s been left behind there. She’s use to staying in a confined place at home, though it’s larger but I think with this one also being so open, she won’t feel terribly confined.
The neighbor’s child came over and played with her so she was so happy . . til he left.

*** I’d forgotten about Rita, she stayed with Vince and Boots came with you, so we didn’t hear much about her. Her playpen looks great. How is she doing in the new house?
Judy Laquidara says
Rita actually came with me and Boots stayed and Vince brought him here on a visit in November and left him so I’ve had both of the pets pretty much since I got here.

My brother and sister in law have one for their teacup chihuahua. It works perfectly for them.

We have one of these and they are great.

My dogs would just tear it up.
