Yesterday I found a little time to do some stitching. We seem to have been running and running and busy and I was tired. Yesterday morning I got up early. We were going to the Farmers’ Market but they don’t open til 9 so I told Vince I was going to go back to bed because I was still sleepy. I woke up at 10:15. Yes . . 10:15. Hopped up, got dressed and we went to the Farmers’ Market then came home and fixed breakfast and it was lunch time by the time we ate breakfast but I suppose that doesn’t matter. Vince said “At least you won’t need a nap today!” I thought . . don’t be too sure and, about 3:30 p.m., I told him I did need a nap, went to bed and I slept til 7:15. At some point, he came in and woke me and said “Are you going to get up or sleep through the night?” I told him I wasn’t sure but I slept about another hour and got up. He went to bed about midnight and said “I guess you’re not ready for bed” but I only stayed up a few minutes later. I guess I needed that rest.
All that to say .. I think the rest did me good and I felt like stitching. I was able to get a long white row and a long red row done on the flag.
The chart is Memorial Day. I was so hoping to have this done by Memorial Day but, that isn’t happening. There are three more white stripes and three more red stripes to get done on that first flag. If I can get three done today and three done tomorrow, before putting this down to get started on the January project for Camp Cross Stitch, then I will have finished one of three flags.
So, no hope of finishing it this year but hopefully it will be stitched and framed for Memorial Day, 2022.
