All of the knitters know about Camp Loopy from The Loopy Ewe. I have done it for so many years and this year, I hadn’t planned on doing it. This is so weird because yesterday, all day, I kept thinking . . I want to do Camp Loopy. It wasn’t because I am in the mood to knit non-stop because I’m not. All I want to do is cross stitch! But, I love the challenge and I love having a goal and really feeling like I need to meet that goal. I also love that Vince understands Camp Loopy is important to me and I am so goal oriented that I would be sad if I didn’t meet the goal so he is fine with leftovers, quick meals, and all the things that go along with knitting non-stop.
Twice yesterday I started to The Loopy Ewe’s website but never made it . . for one reason or another. I really knew my heart wasn’t in it and doubted I would finish all three months’ projects. I would have started and probably not finished any of them because cross stitching has taken over my life. Plus, I seriously do not need any more yarn.
Last night I went to watch Sheri’s (Colorado Cross Stitcher) most recent video. Another weird thing . . I’m usually watching and waiting for her new videos. I had seen that she posted one on March 13 but we were busy, and then Addie was here for the weekend and it was yesterday before I got around to watching it.
Oh, my! The perfect solution to feeling left out by not participating in Camp Loopy! Sheri is hosting a Cross Stitching Camp. She has all the details at the beginning of her latest video. I will tell you that it can be projects that you’ve already purchased but haven’t started yet. You don’t have to buy anything new. You do have to use Instagram if you want to be eligible for prizes. Check it out. I cannot wait. I’m so happy she’s doing this.
After watching the video last night, I thought . . I want to call all my cross stitching blog readers and tell them about this! I was that excited about it.
I don’t have a clue what I’ll be stitching. It will probably be something small enough that there’s at least some chance I’ll finish it within a month. I’m sure it will be something I already have here because . . Vince and those raised eyebrows . . I don’t want to see those again any time soon.
Tomorrow I’ll go back and watch parts of Sheri’s video again and get the “theme” for each month written down so I can begin choosing projects. It isn’t long til June 1.
Anyone want to join me at Cross Stitch Camp?

So my friend, tell me again how many charts it would take to equal the cost of a fish camp? hmmmm?? It is a 1955 Cheverolet Handy Man Wagon that competes with my spending. Really no competition as I will never spend what that thing costs. Never a word from him…Or raised eyebrow.

That’s exactly why I’m checking realtor.com and lakehouse.com every hour of every day.

Yep…I’m up for it I’ll look into it today….

****Don’t forget the cost of the storage units holding all those things that Vince didn’t want to sell/let go of in Texas.
Judy Laquidara says
I can’t say too much about that because (1) I picked the house without a shop and (2) Some (very little) of the stuff there is mine but in Vince’s eyes, there’s a lot there that’s mine.

I am going to give it a try
Susan Nixon says
No, but I’ll be happy to see what you do and how much you enjoy it. =) Day camp for XS!

Thanks for posting! I tried campy loopy a few years ago, and I don’t think it’s for me. It would be fun to try cross stitching camp loopy, though.

I love that we can use what we have and don’t have to buy anything.
