The other day when we were out exploring, we came across a couple of buildings I thought were interesting enough to stop and take pictures.
This was along Route 66 .. probably Arvilla, MO. Vince said “It’s interesting that people travel here even from other countries to drive Route 66 and we are on it most every time we go out.”
This is the local post office. I love the building but I also love the lime green vehicle!
Even though Addie is the best part of living here, there’s so much I love about being here. There were interesting buildings, of course, in Texas but . . my heart is in Missouri so I enjoy everything more here.
Even Vince is nicer in Missouri! 🙂 This morning he told me he wanted to take me to my favorite Thai restaurant today for Mother’s Day. We’re having Chad and Nicole over on Sunday. Vince said “You’re always doing for other people so I want to do this for you.” I laughed and said “Thanks!” but .. it wasn’t too many years ago when I said “What are we doing for Mother’s Day?” He said “Nothing! You aren’t my mother!”

Maybe living somewhere with green surroundings just makes people happier so they’re nicer to everyone around them.

My husband still says “you aren’t my mother”. I’ve learned to just live with it after 44 years. Enjoy your weekend with family!! I’m sure it will be wonderful to help Addie shop for her mom, and then to spend time with them all.

Sweet Vince! I’m so glad you’re residing under the same roof again. My brother and sister in law are finally back under the same roof this week after being apart for 8 months. (He was working two states away.) they, too, are happy to be back together!

You know I’m happy for me and for your brother and sister-in-law. We need to make plans to meet up!!

Yes!! We got home at 5:15 this morning. Going to rest up tomorrow, and then hit the ground running!

I think with the separation during the time he was trying to get the Texas property ready for sale and packing boxes, he realized just what you have done for him all these years. And he realized how much he appreciated what you do for him,

Maybe! 🙂
