Tuesday I was supposed to start working on Farmhouse Christmas. I love it and I want it finished and ready to hang for Christmas this year. Why did I hardly work on it Tuesday and work on it even less yesterday? I have no idea. I think it’s because I don’t like the setup I have with the floor stand. I like where I sit and stitch either in a hoop, a lap stand or in hand. I can’t seem to get my nest built with the floor frame. I keep trying different ways to stitch but yesterday evening, I moved the floor stand and all the cross stitching supplies into the breakfast room and that’s where I’ll start my stitching today and see what progress I can get made on Farmhouse Christmas.
I’m ready to stitch . . right next to the spinning wheels.
This should work out good for the weekend, which technically, I should be done stitching on Farmhouse Christmas and on to something else by Saturday but I may change things around a bit. Addie is so into drawing. I ordered her a drawing kit last week and a set of Craypas and I’m sure she’ll bring it this weekend. I prefer that she not do any of that on carpet or cloth furniture so she can sit at the breakfast room table, draw, make a mess, and I’ll sit there and stitch and we can talk girl talk, eat things we can’t eat in the living room . . and have a fun weekend doing what we love, stitching, drawing and spending time together.

I keep those cheap poster boards from Dollar Tree to put under Sadie’s art work. Saves a lot of clean up. I am hoping she will show a sign of wanting to use a needle on something. Has Addie wanted to knit or cross stitch? They have children’s kits at Hobby Lobby.

She has not shown any interest in wanting to do needlework. I tell her “I don’t want to push you into doing something you don’t want to do but any time you want to knit or stitch, I’m happy to get you started.” Thanks for the idea about the cheap poster boards. I’ll pick up some of those when we’re out today.
