Vince worked his tail off yesterday. About 6 p.m. he sat in his chair, said “I think I’ll sleep good tonight” and was asleep in his chair two minutes later. I know he was so tired. He got two more raised beds done.
Don’t you love my vantage point from the deck!
The mushroom compost got delivered later in the afternoon.
There’s still a bit more work for Vince because he had the guy dump it all in the beds where we could hopefully keep it from washing away if the storms come, as they are predicted to do.
Not quite sure why one bed is covered and two aren’t but . . one of those times when I say mine not to reason why and let it go and hope we don’t get too much rain and my mushroom compost ends up where ever rain water drains from here.
We have more tarps. We have more bricks . . I told him I’d go down and help him. Nope . . not doing it. Men!

I have no clue what mushroom stuff is–but looking at the last picture–most of what he was covering was outside your beds. So he was probably trying to keep it from washing away–where the other was inside the raised beds.

It’s all in the raised beds. There was some overflow from it being dumped bt he got it into the other beds.

There used to be a commercial mushroom farm near here and we could get mushroom compost reasonably. Unfortunately they closed several years ago. You will love growing veggies in it.

There was one about four hours from us in Texas and we always wanted to go but it just wasn’t cost effective plus . . the old truck with no a/c. I’m excited to try it.
