This morning I went over to the friend’s house to stitch with her. She has many award winning cross stitch pieces, which are all beautifully framed and hanging all over her lovely home. I told her if I had known she did such amazing work, I would not have come over and let her see the two pieces I’ve done! Her work is just amazing .. that’s all I can say about it.
We were sitting in the family room and I looked up and . . I spied a spinning wheel so we seem to enjoy a lot of the same hobbies. I think she’s quilted but I don’t think she knits. Maybe I’ll have to work on that! 🙂
We stitched for a while and as she stitched, I watched and asked questions. As I stitched, I’d ask questions as they came to mind.
It was nice to meet a stitcher who is only 0.3 miles from my house.
I haven’t accomplished a lot today otherwise. I did find my favorite old Farberware pots and lids so that made me happy.
I’m just now (4:45 p.m.) getting back to stitching on Deux Oiseaux. Can I get five letters done tonight? I’ll give it my best shot!

Judy, I just tried your recipe for Blake’s biscuits with homemade sausage gravy for dinner. The biscuits were awesome!!! I have been trying to find the perfect biscuit recipe and this is it! Thank you for writing and making me feel loved! 🙂
Those biscuits are the best. Blake has been a friend for so, so many years and I love that every time I make the biscuits or someone writes that they’ve tried them and love them, I think of Blake and his sweet family.

I am so glad you found a fellow stitcher so close to your home! And do not feel bad about her having won all those honors! You are no slouch yourself! Look at all the awards you won for your quilts and you have written books as well! So don’t feel bad about not being on her scale yet! You will get there. I guess you know that is why I always asked you the questions because you explained it in ways I could understand. Don’t ever think bad about yourself! You got this!
