It seems that everyone I know stitches faster than I do. It doesn’t make me sad but I do keep trying to stitch faster. Last night I finally got to the point where I have 30% completed. At this rate, I’m not even going to have this finished by our anniversary in August!
This is the only thing I’ve been working on so, I’m not going to have the April block finished for Farmhouse Christmas and I’m going to work on a Blackbird Designs project this weekend so . . who knows when I’ll get this finished.
It is pretty. I do love it. I can’t wait to finish it. It will be finished when it’s finished, right?

Enjoy the journey, Judy. Unless there is an important deadline, just enjoy the process. It IS beautiful.
Judy Laquidara says
No deadline but just so much I want to stitch.

I too am a slow stitcher. My niece in law asked me to do stockings for my nephew and great niece because her childhood stocking was cross stitched and she still had it. I have been working on the both, but even with a year’s notice I am not sure if I will finish them in time for Christmas. But it makes me understand more why people have so many WIPS. After working only on them for 4 months I so badly want to start a bunch of other projects, but if I do I definitely won’t finish the stockings. So I am just trying to enjoy the stitching and not think about how much I have left.

It is hard when you NEED to finish something. If you don’t get them finished, there’s always next year but it will be nice to get them finsihed and move on to something else. I know your niece in law will appreciate them forever so it’s nice to know you’re working on something that will be loved.

I’m a very slow knitter and wish I could be faster–there are so many cool projects out there I want to start!!
Denise Russart says
That’s going to be so pretty.
Jo Kramer says
Trust me Judy…I stitch slower even slower than most everyone!!
Judy Laquidara says
You seem to get so much done! I know it isn’t a race and I do enjoy the process but there’s so much I want to stitch.
