Thy Love Divine Progress

I got some stitching done yesterday. I think I did about 250 stitches yesterday. Not a tremendous number considering I didn’t do much else. I fixed breakfast but we had leftover tomato soup and leftover pizza for our meal. I’m not complaining because I love that Boots is being a good cat but he’s a lap full and wherever he decides he wants to sleep . . there’s not much changing his mind. Once I was leaning over the chair stitching because of his position. I’ve been trying to get him to sleep in the chair next to me instead of on my lap but so far, he’s proving that cats do what they want with total disregard to what humans want. When he was being a mean kitty, I kept saying “If I have a cat (and I do), I want a cat that will sit on my lap!” Yesterday I had that. We’ll see what today brings with his attitude.

Remember when I had shown the orange that I thought was too bright and I couldn’t decide if I should use a lighter color?

I put the different shades of orange/peach with the project and ended up sticking with the one that was suggested.

I don’t know why I ever guess as to how much I will get done in a day but I’d love to get through the stitching above the writing. Since I’m subbing our anniversary date for “My Valentine 2021” I think I’ll be using 15 letters instead of the 17 they used. Of course, some letters take up more space than others. I’ll chart it out and figure out the spacing. Then maybe tomorrow I can stitch the letters. After the letters, there’s a pretty big area that has “rice stitch” which I’ve never done but I’ve looked at it and think it will be easy enough. Then the outer border and the whole thing will be done, and ready to order a frame.
