Here’s where I am on the “Thy Love Divine” piece.
I know the “r” is missing on the last word. That’s where I was last night when I couldn’t stay awake any longer. A lot of my stitching yesterday was done on the border. It was mindless but went quickly.
Near the bottom is a section done in the rice stitch. One of the colors is orange and it’s a bright orange – brighter than I think I may want to use.
It’s the top orange (913). When in a bag with the other floss, it just looked so bright . . almost neon. I was afraid it was going to be brighter than I wanted and when I got to that point, I didn’t want to have to wait for floss so I ordered these additional shades from light orange to orangey pink. Right now I’m kinda thinking the 2642 might be a better fit but I’ll wait til I get to that point in the stitching, then lay out the other colors to be used and we can all decide which looks better.

What kind of floss is that? Is it the Cosmo or is it a silk? Those colors are all beautiful. I would have a hard time chosing.

It’s silk. Soie d’Alger – https://123stitch.com/Au_Ver_A_Soie_Soie_d_Alger.html

I just ordered some silks for a new Sampler that I want to start. They are suppose to arrive on Monday from 123 Stitch and I can’t wait to see them. I hope they are as pretty as yours are.

Which ones did you order? This is my first time to use them and I’m loving them. I don’t have any knotting or kinking up. The thread just flows through the fabric so smoothly. I definitely won’t use silk for everything but it sure is nice for occasional use.

The silk is very tempting, I have a project here that has stalled because the thrad isn’t working. Maybe time to give it a try.
